The Wicks Group (TWG) is pleased to announce its participation in the FAA-EASA International Aviation Safety Conference, held June 16–18, 2026, in Chantilly, Virginia. TWG was represented by Vice President of Consulting Services Larry Fields and Partner Michael Fleming.

Hosted jointly by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), the conference brought together aviation regulators, industry leaders, manufacturers, operators, and safety professionals from around the world to discuss the future of aviation safety under the theme, “Safety Together: Innovation, Integration and Trust.”

The conference opened with welcome remarks and a keynote address by FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford, who emphasized the importance of global collaboration, regulatory alignment, and technological innovation in maintaining and enhancing aviation safety. Throughout the event, speakers highlighted how evolving airspace demands require close cooperation among regulators and industry stakeholders to harmonize safety standards while enabling innovation. Discussions also explored how automation, machine learning, and real-time data can strengthen safety oversight and support earlier identification of emerging risks.

High-level panels addressed a range of critical topics, including the future of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and data-driven decision-making, regulatory harmonization, advancements in aircraft type certification, and certification and operational pathways for emerging aviation technologies.

A featured fireside chat included FAA Deputy Administrator Chris Rocheleau, EASA Executive Director Florian Guillermet, and NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen, who discussed the challenges, opportunities, and evolving priorities facing the global aviation community. Panelists reinforced that aviation safety is a shared international responsibility and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among regulators and industry partners to foster a strong global safety culture.
