Ekaterina (Katya) Grimes is Partner and Executive VP in The Wicks Group. She has more than 14 years of experience in assisting aviation-related and other clients with regulatory and general business matters. She specializes in consulting with governments and foreign companies on doing business in the U.S and has primary responsibility for managing the firm’s Russia/CIS services. She also routinely assists international clients with matters involving U.S. regulatory and security agencies.
Prior to joining The Wicks Group, Katya was a Russian Specialist at a major Washington, DC law firm. She also worked with the Duke University Fuqua School of Business Program for Entrepreneurs from the USSR for several years. |
Representative Experience
• Provided extensive regulatory assistance to numerous foreign air carriers operating in the United States, including help with flight approvals, waivers, clearances, and certificates and coordination with federal security, customs, immigration, and tax agencies
• Led the firm’s project for the Republic of Azerbaijan civil aviation agency on how best to bring airline operations into compliance with international standards and best practices
• Assisted governmental delegations and clients at ICAO, IATA, and United Nations events |
