LINDSAY MCGUIRE

Lindsay McGuire, working with senior attorneys, advises firm clients on commercial, pre-litigation, and regulatory matters, including regulatory compliance. She also participates in drafting and negotiating agreements involving domestic and international transactions. Lindsay also participates in aviation consulting projects for the U.S. and foreign civil aviation authorities.
Ms. McGuire’s experience prior to joining the firm includes positions with a legal research institute and the Environmental Protection Agency. |
Representative Experience
• Evaluated a hazardous materials violation for a manufacturing client; identified mitigating circumstances and negotiated a reduction in the civil penalty of approximately 50 percent
• Assisted with drafting a shareholders agreement for clients who owned 100 percent of the stock in a company owning shares of a major Russian airline
• Assisted in negotiating and memorializing a complex transaction creating a commercial relationship for the management of a US airport and the contingent establishment of a future joint venture
• Represented a manufacturing company before PHMSA and advocated for the elimination of a penalty in light of industry-wide violations and the need for a change in the relevant hazmat transportation rule
• Advised the first privately-financed and operated commercial airport in the U.S. on regulatory strategy and negotiated commercial agreements
• Advised a major Russian airline on their civil remedies for a breach of contract, as well as the possibility that the defaulting party had violated criminal statutes, resulting in a federal investigation of the defaulting party
• Advised a foreign civil aviation authority on compliance with ICAO safety oversight standards in preparation for an FAA IASA audit. |
