Lori Wicks is a Senior Policy Specialist for The Wicks Group, PLLC. She has more than 25 years of experience in policy analysis and policy and procedural development for both private sector companies and government agencies, including more than a decade in the aviation sector. She also has specialized knowledge of airport-related federal grant assurances, Air Carrier Access Act regulations, and European Union Emissions Trading Scheme requirements. The firm attorneys draw on her expertise in these areas in assisting clients with related matters. Lori also manages the firm’s federal government business development and contracting activities.

Prior to joining TWG, Lori held positions as a vice-president for business development and a project director in the government practice of a national consulting firm. She also was a senior consultant at a firm that specialized in analyzing and advising state agencies about federal laws and regulations. Lori holds both a law degree and graduate business degree from The George Washington University.

Representative Experience

  • Developing new policy and procedural guidance related to aviation safety oversight and monitoring for the civil aviation authorities of Azerbaijan, India, and Trinidad and Tobago
  • Preparing and presenting regulatory compliance training for civil aviation authorities
  • Developing policies and procedures to strengthen Air Carrier Access Act compliance by foreign air carriers and delivering training on the same to air carrier station managers
  • Developing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise plans for airport compliance with federal grant assurance requirements
  • Developing a private operator’s multi-year Monitoring Plan and annual emissions reports required for EU Emissions Trading Scheme compliance
